What we do
Our website makes it easy for you to do general research about a variety of insurance products. When you're ready to shop for car insurance, you complete one secure application, we transmit it electronically to the rating computers of carriers we work with and, within 30 to 45 seconds, you see up to four real-time competing comparison rates – directly from the companies we represent. When you find the company and rate you like, it's easy to buy online at insurance.com or talk to one of our friendly and knowledgeable licensed agents.
How we make money
The short answer is commissions and referrals fees. We get paid a commission by the insurance companies we represent when you buy an auto insurance policy from us. There are no extra costs or fees. If you ask for a quote for home, life, health or other insurance, in most cases we earn a small referral fee, but not a commission, because we don't sell those policies yet. In certain circumstances, we do sell those policies, and in those cases we do earn a commission.
