Let’s face it. Auto insurance in Florida can be expensive and it seems
from year to year that it’s only getting worse. But where you live can
dramatically affect your auto insurance rate – and not only by the state
you live in, but where you live within that state too. A simple move from a
rural to suburban community could cost you an increase of hundreds or more a
year on auto insurance.
Our “2004 Auto Insurance Pricing Report” below shows the average
change in auto insurance premium quotes on a state-by-state basis. According
to the report, consumers in Florida were paying an average of $2,477 annual
auto insurance premium, a 11% increase over the previous year. The average U.S.
household is paying $2,343 for auto insurance a year – a 6% increase over
the average annual premium quote from last year.
If you’re trying to save money on auto insurance like most consumers
are, but you’re not exactly willing to move to Gainesville, FL to do so,
remember that the easiest way to save is to shop around. It’s extremely
important to compare rates from multiple companies because rates can vary by
hundreds or more from one company to another – for the exact same coverage.
