Traditional insurance isn’t fair to low-mileage drivers. The No. 1 risk indicator for drivers is how often they’re on the road. Metromile per-mile insurance means you never get charged for miles that you don’t drive. It’s that simple.

With Metromile per-mile insurance you pay a low monthly base rate plus just a few cents per mile when you drive. At the end of the month, your bill is your base rate plus how many miles you drove at your per-mile rate.

You get all the same coverages you can buy at any other insurance carrier -- including coverage for Uber drivers -- but you'll pay less.

Per-mile insurance is currently available in California, Illinois, New Jersey, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Washington.
